Hamilton Pipeline Trail Call for Public Art 🚧

The City of Hamilton and STEPS Public Art are currently undertaking a process to commission a permanent public artwork to be placed along the Pipeline Trail where the Trail intersects with Garside Avenue North.

Selected work(s) will be functional in nature, serving one or all of the following purposes; seating, shade and wayfinding. Citizen-identified themes for this project are water innovation and infrastructure. (more…)

PARC’s 2024 Annual Playwrights’ Retreat ✍🏽

PARC will be hosting the 2024 PARC Playwrights’ Retreat from May 5 – 19, 2024 in Sackville, New Brunswick on the Mount Allison University campus. Playwrights will attend in person, though some may be accommodated remotely.

The annual Playwrights’ Retreat, PARC’s flagship program, is a two-week playwrights residency open to emerging and established playwrights in Atlantic Canada and beyond. (more…)

The Glenfiddich Artists in Residence 2024 🦌

The Glenfiddich Artists in Residence program offers Canadian artists a $25,000 residency prize, a chance to collaborate with other celebrated international artists, and the opportunity to live and work at The Glenfiddich Distillery in Scotland.

We annually host a small group of visual artists from around the globe, who work in a diverse array of media from print and photography to animation, performance and installation. (more…)

Claire Harris Poetry Prize 📙

Goose Lane Editions and the board of icehouse poetry are pleased to announce the inaugural Claire Harris Poetry Prize. The biennial prize will be awarded to a full-length debut poetry collection by a writer who is Black, Indigenous, or from another racialized community.

 

 
Celebrated Canadian poet Kazim Ali will select the winner of the inaugural Claire Harris Poetry Prize. The winning poet’s manuscript will be published under the icehouse poetry imprint. (more…)

The Pierre Lassonde Artist-in-Residence 2025-26 🏠
