Salisbury Chosen for Cultural Community Pilot

The Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick (UMNB) has announced that the Town of Salisbury has been selected as the host community for a pilot project to support the development of a municipal cultural policy for 2024-2025. 

The project is the result of a new partnership between the Association Acadienne des Artistes Professionel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), ArtsLink NB, and the Association Francophone des Municipalités du Nouveau-Brunswick (AFMNB) and UMNB, made possible with the support of the federal and provincial governments.

Federal and Provincial Governments Announce a Total of $142,000 to Support the CATAPULT Arts Accelerator

This morning at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John, we were joined by Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John–Rothesay, who announced a federal contribution of $92,000 for ArtsLink NB through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).

Also joining us was New Brunswick’s Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Greg Turner, who pledged $50,000 on behalf of the province of New Brunswick.

arts nb Documentation and Creation Grants Awarded 📚🎨

Congrats to ArtsLink NB and CATAPULT alumni who received a Documentation and Creation grant from arts nb!

The New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) has released the results of the April 1st, 2022 competitions for the Creation and Documentation programs. Grants totalling $405,133 were awarded by juries of professional artists to support their creation projects and to help the documentation of art production in New Brunswick.

The full list of recipients is here, but we wanted to congratulate those who are affiliated with ArtsLink NB and celebrate their success.

First of all, Jericho Knopp, our Programming Director, and Sarah Jones, our Curatorial and Outreach Coordinator for the Arts Atlantic Symposium, both received grants.

The following graduates of our CATAPULT Arts Accelerator program also received funding:
