This morning at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John, we were joined by Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John–Rothesay, who announced a federal contribution of $92,000 for ArtsLink NB through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).

Also joining us was New Brunswick’s Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Greg Turner, who pledged $50,000 on behalf of the province of New Brunswick.

This brings the total support at today’s announcement to $142,000. This allows us to extend the CATAPULT Arts Accelerator program to even more artists in the future. CATAPULT offers business skills training, career development, workshops, and mentorships to developing artists who want to enhance their business skills and succeed as a professional artist. We’re thrilled to be able to continue to offer this program, which has already been taken by over 100 CATAPULT alumni.
