The winners of the 2021 Atlantic Book Awards (ABAS) will be announced virtually in an event hosted by CTV Atlantic’s Amanda Debison on Thursday, May 13, 2021, with prizes presented by previous winners, including Michael Crummey, Sheree Fitch and Ami McKay.
There will be fourteen awards given out, plus the Pioneer Award, which recognizes a lifetime contribution to writing and publishing in Atlantic Canada.
ABAS presents three more events in this year’s Festival: Storytellers of Cape Breton (Monday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m.), Poetry & Prose: A Discussion of Craft on Tuesday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. and Understanding our Past: Exploring Nova Scotia’s History on Wednesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. All events feature this year’s shortlisted authors in conversation and are free; links from the ABAS website or its Facebook page.
