PARC will be hosting the 2024 PARC Playwrights’ Retreat from May 5 – 19, 2024 in Sackville, New Brunswick on the Mount Allison University campus. Playwrights will attend in person, though some may be accommodated remotely.
The annual Playwrights’ Retreat, PARC’s flagship program, is a two-week playwrights residency open to emerging and established playwrights in Atlantic Canada and beyond. (more…)
Please join us at our inaugural Atlantic Community Theatre Festival, a gathering of community theatre groups from the Atlantic provinces coming together in Sackville NB to perform one act plays to their community theatre peers and an appreciative local audience.
We will combine the camaraderie of amateur community theatre casts and crew with professional adjudicators who will provide encouragement and constructive feedback to each group. Our adjudicators will share their areas of expertise with us in a series of workshops sprinkled throughout the weekend. This will be a collaborative and fun environment that will invigorate our community theatre groups by providing opportunities to expose your company’s work to a wider audience. Throughout the weekend, there will also be opportunities to socialize with fellow thespians and enjoy the hospitality and entertainment of our vibrant little town.
We have a beautiful venue arranged, Convocation Hall at Mount Allison University, on the weekend of Nov 3 – 5, 2023. The cost will be very reasonable at $100 per performance entered in the Festival plus $10/person, cast and crew. We are hoping to have 10 Community Theatre companies attend to have a busy and fun weekend.
