The gallery is hosting an exhibition featuring two fine Canadian painters. Cathy Ross has been exhibiting since 1981, has received numerous awards for her painting and has artwork in several significant public collections. Ross’ consummate sense of beauty and her sensitive eye for detail are evident in her watercolours of still life.
Cliff Turner, a fine art graduate from the University of Toronto (1994), moved to Saint John in the late 90’s. From the beginning, he received both popular and critical acclaim for his work in oils, an agile painter who moves comfortably from cityscapes through to pop art and still life.
October 12: Shadow Lawn
A special preview of the exhibition will be held at Shadow Lawn for a one-night special event on Wednesday, October 12. The Executive Chef, Markian Shafransky, will create a five-course dinner that has been inspired by the paintings.
October 14: Buckland Merrifield Gallery
Following the preview at Shadow Lawn, the exhibition will be installed at the gallery in time for the fall version of the Saint John Gallery Hop. This will be our feature exhibition as hundreds flood the Uptown for this art event.
