This festival is during one of the hottest weeks of the year and we have an equally hot show to bring you.
We unravel the Mystery of Bellydance in North America- Through dance presentation, Historical reproduction of costume and tableau.
This presentation starts with the first recorder Bellydancers in North America from the Chicago World Faire the traces the lines of Pop-culture from early 1900’s when Salome and Egyptomania were world wide crazes to present day Islamophobia-
For the dance enthusiast, historian or anyone interested in the influence of the Middle East on Popular culture today and throughout the last century!
