In this introduction to silversmithing, you will learn how to sink and raise a 6″ bowl. You will learn to work with the torch to anneal or soften the metal, and with a number of steel forms and hammers you will raise a simple vessel form. Planishing and polishing techniques will be covered. This is the foundation for future work such as a goblet, a container or with experience, a teapot.
