Grand Manan Museum: The Creation of the Marine Mural Exhibit

The Creation of the Marine Mural Exhibit with Curator M.J. Edwards – Transforming a large empty white space into a dynamic world of 139 marine species of the upper, intertidal and subtotal zones of the Bay of Fundy around Grand Manan takes a lot of planning, funding, research, sketching, painting, writing, talent and scientific knowledge! The six mural exhibit is the result of a two-year collaboration between our Museum and Bowdoin College’s Kent Island Research Station Summer Student Fellowship Program, with funding from the NB Dept. of Tourism, Heritage & Culture, Bowdoin College, and a few other organizations and individuals.
