Project of Heart

Join the LP Fisher Public Library and Woodstock First Nation as we commemorate the suffering Indigenous children experienced during the residential school program and their continued healing.
There will be a talk by Terri Paul about the project and then each participant will be asked to decorate a tile to be part of the mosaic, which will become a permanent art installation at the library. The tiles will be arranged in the figure of an open book, which represents the library being a safe place for anyone to have access to learning in a welcoming and secure environment. We will also have an opening prayer, dedication, acknowledgement of traditional territories, and drumming from WFN Elders.
