Hooper Studios: George Fry

George Fry had an immense influence on the cultural life of New Brunswick for more than forty years. George was the Director of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton for 17 years and upon retiring in 1993,was able to dedicate more time to working at his own art. He was well known for his masks and incredible, intricately detailed pop- up books and theatre set design. In this show many of George’s works will be on display, with some pieces available to purchase. George also loved to support artists and craftspeople, here in New Brunswick and on his travels and he amassed a diverse and impressive collection! As part of this show many pieces from George’s personal collection will be available to purchase.  This show will run Saturdays until October 8th.
