Musician in Residence Nadia Francavilla and improviser extraordinaire Joel LeBlanc present a program of improvised music for amplified violin and electric guitar alongside a performance of Louis Andriessen’s landmark ’Workers Union’. This 1975 piece is best known for the composer’s instruction that ’it be performed by a loud-sounding group of instruments’. Francavilla and LeBlanc will be joined by musicians from the Fredericton community to perform this complex and powerful piece.
