Show at Grand Manan Art Gallery

August 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - September 6, 2018 @ 7:30 pm

August 18-September 6, 2018
The Grand Manan Art Gallery is pleased to announce the fifth show of the 2018 season.  There are three featured artists in this show:

SANDOR MATHE, MIXED MEDIA:
Sandor is well known to Grand Manan Art Gallery patrons as the creator of Rocinate, our first outdoor driftwood sculpture, inspired by the story of Don Quixote’s horse. Painting, photography, and ceramics are all interests of this island resident and will be featured in his exhibit.

MEGAN GREENLAW, PHOTOGRAPHY:
Megan’s love of photography and her Grand Manan Island home are evident in her work. Both tiny subjects and grand landscapes capture her attention. Four seasons as a lobster fisher gave her opportunities to photograph unique creatures hauled up in the traps. Says Megan,  “I try to capture….what catches my eye…my perspective allows others to see the magic that catches my curiosity.”

FRANK HAVEMAN, PAINTING:
Ottawa artist Frank Haveman is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art in Graphic Design. His career has involved working as a graphic/exhibit designer and as Art Director with Bell-Northern Research/Nortel. Of his work Frank says, “My work is inspired by events, surroundings, and social dialogue translated into spatial divisions and colour.”
