PUBLIC TALK: HOW TO DATE AN OLD HOUSE

October 19, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bernard LeBlanc, curator at the Musée acadien de l’Université de Moncton, will share his knowledge on how to date an old house during a public talk.  He will offer methods in which an examination of architectural details and research in historical documents can help to determine when a house was erected.  Mr. LeBlanc has been researching traditionnel acadian architecture since 1975.

The talk will be held on Wednesday October 19 2016 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Clément-Cormier building.  Anyone who is interested in architecture and history is welcomed!

There is no cost for the public talk.  The museum accepts donations.

Founded in 1886 at the Collège Saint-Joseph in Memramcook, the Musée acadien is the oldest acadian museum in the world.  It is located in the Clément-Cormier building at 405 Université avenue on the Université de Moncton’s campus.
