Plein Air Coastal Landscapes in Watercolour with Poppy Balser

“Join Poppy Balser for five days of watercolour painting in the landscape where she grew up. Explore some of Poppy’s favourite painting locations through your own paintings made on location. We will be working both indoors and out of doors. Each day Poppy will demonstrate exercises designed to showcase the unique qualities of watercolours in capturing the rich maritime landscape surrounding picturesque St Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick. This workshop is offered at Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre. We will have a view of the ocean from the back deck and gardens of the facility. Also, there are multiple plein air locations within easy reach of the Centre. Participants should come prepared to paint out of doors in a variety of conditions. If the weather is truly unpleasant, we will paint indoors. “
