IM/PENETRABLE NATURE

September 7, 2016 - October 16, 2016

Galerie d’art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen presents Im/penetrable Nature, a group exhibition featuring the work of Isabelle Hayeur, Mathieu Léger and D’Arcy Wilson. This exhibition, organised as part of the Symposium d’art/nature: Moncton 2016 happening September 22 to October 2, will be presented September 7 to October 16, 2016. The opening will be held on Wednesday, September 28, at 5 PM, with the artists present.

In keeping with the Symposium’s objectives, Im/penetrable Nature aims to foster critical thinking as regards to environmental questions through artistic research and practices. Nisk Imbeault, curator of this exhibition, states: ″It would not be possible for humans to survive exposed to the natural environment; however, we feel a need to engage with it and depend on it for our survival. This imbalance destabilises and frightens us. At this point in time when humans are the single most important factor of transformations to the biosphere, Im/penetrable nature illustrates our profound state of malaise faced with the great environmental challenges.″
