This course focuses uniquely on creating works in color using colored pencils. Various ways and techniques to use this media will be explored while making use of fundamental drawing techniques. This course is divided into four major parts, beginning with creating a line drawing in color, developing a color palette, blending and layering color and creating textures and effects. Students will work from photographs as well as from life. Some drawing experience is recommended though not essential.
