Drawing for Beginners with Jessie Babin
July 24, 2017 @ 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Sunbury Shores
This workshop is designed for individuals who have very little drawing experience or for those who simply haven’t done any sketching or drawing in a long time and wish to improve their drawing skills and develop a good foundation. Using a range of drawing tools, fundamental elements such as line, shape/form, perspective, light and shadow will be explored. Students will develop observational skills as well as work on ways to get away from the dominance of the “left side” of the brain, to using the more creative ”right side” . Learn to better translate our observable, three-dimensional world into dynamic and expressive drawings. Plenty of personalized instruction will be available and individual projects ranging from still lives to figure drawing, as well as working from photographs will be explored.
