Art Battle 478 – Saint John

Please join us for the first Art Battle Saint John in 2017! This is a wonderful evening of creativity and community, a live painting tournament showcasing local artists and connecting Saint John to towns and cities across Canada. Come and be part of the fun as a spectator, or participate as one of the featured artists, this is the 5th season for Art Battle in New Brunswick, winners will advance to the Provincial Final with a chance to paint in the Canadian Championships this summer.

WHAT IS ART BATTLE?
Art Battle is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. Art Battle happens in cities across Canada and has hosted over 400 events over the past eight seasons of competitions coast to coast!
