Songs of the City brings to life the stories of people right here in our own communities who have triumphed with the help of donations made to United Way Saint John, Kings & Charlotte. Individuals who have benefited by gifts to United Way are matched with local artists who composed original songs based on these stories.
Bash on the Bay will be ‘party central’ for the 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia! Imagine, nine events over ten days of pre- and post-game festivities with live music, food trucks, beer gardens and live game screenings for sold out games – all taking place in the unique and one-of-a-kind AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village!
Memorial Cup pass holders will benefit from priority admission, with remaining attendance based on capacity. Bash on the Bay is an opportunity for hockey fans to come together and experience uptown Saint John in a way that hasn’t been seen before!
Beginning Monday, June 20 and running until Wednesday, June 29, live entertainment will be scheduled every game day during the Memorial Cup presented by Kia.

Since founding Spincount in 2008, her firm has been awarded Company OTY 6 times and Kimberly twice awarded Industry Professional OTY. Kimberly handles marketing and communications for organizations such as Philadelphia Folk Festival (PA), Home Routes (MB), the Canadian Folk Music Awards (ON), NERFA (CT) and more.
Kimberly’s musical clients are routinely nominated for GRAMMYs and JUNOs and receive multiple nominations yearly from Regional and Provincial MIAs. To ensure that we are able to host a weekend-long festival as originally planned for 2022, we are ecstatic to announce that we will hold our second annual installment of Sweltering Songs this July 15-17 on Carleton Street in Fredericton. Sweltering Songs will offer a chance to see amazing artists in an open-air venue, during warmer weather. July artist announcements will follow across the next month.
“We’re really excited to return after what felt like such a long wait,” said Festival co-organizer, Zach Atkinson. “This announcement celebrates so many local and regional artists, and we’re so grateful to bring this incredible array of talent to Fredericton. Our community has been a great source of support during this time, so we strive to highlight local artists and small businesses downtown, as a way to say thanks after the difficult winter hiatus.”
Organizers are working with both existing venues and new spaces, to create a concert experience that ensures a safe, comfortable environment for all artists, patrons, volunteers, and support staff. Venue-specific COVID-19 safety protocols will be detailed at the point of purchase, as well as at www.shiveringsongs.com.

Renowned for content diversity, creative daring and its super-friendly vibe, FLOURISH Festival is a critically and popularly acclaimed independent, artist-run, not-for-profit music and arts festival held annually in Fredericton, the capital city of New Brunswick, Canada.
With an expanded 5-day festival schedule across 20+ venues, our 2022 edition will feature dozens of creative disciplines, including installation, fashion, music, drag, film, and visual art.
Returning to a fully in-person event, we have shared our initial lineup, announcing Living Hour, Eve Parker Finley, Keeper E, LXVNDR, Diner Drugs, Nick Schofield, and Awala-Wabanaki. We’ll be announcing 50+ more artists over the coming weeks!
RE: FLUX explores new frontiers in sound through experimentation and invites spectators to explore the space between musical conventions in order to find new sensorial possibilities. The festival offers an experience that transcends all expectations by reinventing music as we’ve come to know it, seeking its purpose without ever finding it. RE:FLUX is run by the Galerie Sans Nom artist-run centre.
Country Singer/Songwriter and the recipient of the 2021 International Singer songwriters Association Award for Entertainer of the Year Award, Aaron Halliday is a Canadian country music singer/songwriter who lives in Kelowna, BC. Aaron has more than 20 years of playing behind him, with a wide open road ahead.
The Jim Axelrod Big Little Band, an uptempo jazz and blues combo, will play the Fredericton Seniors Centre, 112 Johnston Avenue on the Northside, on Friday, April 29, at 7:00 pm.
Along with Jim on trumpet and vocals will be Steven Peacock on guitar and Terry Balazs on bass. The band now features drummer John Harvey.
Come enjoy classics made famous by musicians from Cole Porter to Dutch Mason, and from Louis Prima to the Downchild Blues Band.
