Book Launch and reception to celebrate the release of R.M. Vaughan’s posthumous novel Pervatory.
The Lorenzo Society will be hosting a book launch for R.M. Vaughanโs Pervatory. Vaughan was a UNBSJ English grad, prolific writer, artist, and arts critic from Saint John; he passed away in the Fall of 2020 and is greatly missed. The launch will take place at the BMO Studio Theatre at 112 Princess Street and will feature a panel reading from Vaughanโs final novel as well as a discussion of his work. A reception will follow. Copies of the novel will be available for purchase.

The Saint John Theatre Company hopes you can join them at the BMO Studio Theatre for their 2023-2024 Season Launch! The one-hour event will be packed with plenty of music, fun, and of course the big reveal of their Main Stage and Presentation Series of works for next season!
Snacks and beverages will be provided. A draw will be held for those attending in person for a Main Stage subscription so be sure to join them! If you cannot attend in person be sure to visit their Facebook page to live stream.
Join The Fiddlehead, in partnership with Word Feast, as we launch the Autumn issue with readings from Jenny Hwang, Griffin Poetry Prize and Governor General’s Literary Prize winner Tolu Oloruntoba, CBC Short Story Prize winner Corinna Chong and Fawn Parker, who has been longlisted for the 2022 Scotiabank Giller Prize.
The event will take place in the Milham Room (Room 100) of UNB’s Harriet Irving Library and on Zoom for those who can’t attend in-person. An ASL interpreter will be present and coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided. As per UNB policy facemasks are mandatory when not eating.
The event is free to all. To attend virtually, please register by emailing thefiddlehead@gmail.com to receive the Zoom link. When registering please provide your name and whether or not you require ASL services. If attending in person, registration is not necessary.

ArtsLink NB, The Industrial Parks Collective, and USTATION are pleased to announce the official launch of the Creative Spaces Project. Join us Wednesday, June 22nd, 6pm at USTATION, 87 Prince William Street in Saint John.
This event will include a presentation of the project, its partners, and a showcase of local arts and culture featuring paintings by member artists, live drawing with Brandon Hicks, and DJ No No spinning tunes.
Funded through the Saint John Community Arts Board, Creative Spaces is a summer-long project to identify key areas of need for space among artists, creative professionals, and arts organizations, with outreach activities aimed at local businesses, arts organizations, and property owners to identify spaces in the city that are appropriate for use as art studios, offices, and performing arts events.
