The New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) is pleased to announce the creation of a fourth Lieutenant Governor’s Award for High Achievement in the Arts: The Indigenous Artist Award.

Starting in 2024, the New Brunswick Arts Board will add a fourth award created specifically to celebrate the achievements of an Indigenous artist working in New Brunswick. Working closely with Indigenous partners, including a Circle of Elders, artsnb continually strives to better support the growth of Indigenous artists’ practices in New Brunswick through a variety of programs, projects, and structures. The creation of this fourth award echoes the goals of artsnb’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.
