CALL FOR ARTISTS – Applications accepted for the 2023 Games of La Francophonie
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT : SEPTEMBER 30, 2022.
Team Canada-New Brunswick are accepting applications for the IX Games of La Francophonie that will take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, July 28-August 6, 2023.
The Games of La Francophonie, the only major international games to present both cultural and sporting competitions, offer a unique opportunity to spotlight the wide reach and originality of the French culture, at the same time as the athletic capacities of French-speaking countries around the world.
Artists age 18 to 35 years old may take part in the cultural competition of the Games in one of six disciplines:
- Painting
- Sculpture-installation
- Photography
- Song
- Storytelling
- Literature (short story)
If selected, artists will receive an amount of $3,000 up to a maximum of $10,000 toward preparation costs. Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2022.
