The overarching theme of our conference centers around the paramount concept of “sustainability.” For the Ceramics at Hand: Foraged and Formed Exhibition, we are actively seeking artists who exemplify the spirit of sustainability by creating their pieces using locally sourced materials or employing innovative techniques that minimize the ecological impact on our planet’s finite resources. Whether you are delving into the excavation of your clay, pioneering inventive methods to repurpose ceramic remnants, or finding other ways to work sustainably, we wholeheartedly encourage you to submit your work for consideration.

This opportunity is extended exclusively to ceramic artists residing in the regions of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland and Labrador. It is important to note that there is no application fee, and selected artists will receive remuneration in accordance with CARFAC guidelines.

Each artist is invited to submit up to three of their finest pieces for consideration. Please be aware that the deadline for applications is February 1, 2024, at midnight Atlantic Time. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase the exceptional talents of artists who are committed to both their craft and employing sustainable practices.
