Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre: RBC Residency ?
We are currently seeking an emerging artist to be our Artist in Residence at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre from November 1st, 2025 to January 31st, 2026, to work on their proposed artistic project.
The selected artist must meet the definition of an emerging artist as described by artsnb, which includes artists in the early stages of their professional career who have produced a body of work and are recognized by peers, but are not yet fully established.
- Early career stage: Often, this term applies to artists who have begun publicly sharing or selling their work, but haven’t yet done so extensively or established a long track record.
- Not yet fully professionalized: They might have earned income from their art, but they haven’t reached a self-supporting level or sustained income from it alone.
- Demonstrates artistic potential: There’s evidence of strong creative ability and growth in their practice, but still room to develop further.
The artist is expected to be present in their designated studio at least 30 hours per week, and to engage with the public through their art. This may include artist talks, open studios, and workshops.
The residency will conclude with an exhibition to present the work created during the residency.
