Tomato Tomato
Tomato/Tomato perform an eclectic mix of folk and country that will have you singing at the top of your lungs. Their live show includes jaw dropping multitasking, dynamic guitar arrangements, and soaring vocal harmonies. Stitch these elements together with compelling, heartfelt songwriting and you have an unforgettable musical experience. The band was honoured in 2017 with nominations for “Contemporary Folk Album of the Year” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, “Songwriter of the Year”, and “Group Recording of the Year” at the East Coast Music Awards. To top things off, they won awards for both “Group Recording of the Year” and “SOCAN Song of the Year” at the Music/Musique New Brunswick Awards.
Salon Reading of Scenes from “Cole”
Live Bait Theatre is pleased to present a Salon Reading of scenes from a new play about Chester Cole. The reading of scenes from the play, called “Cole”, will be presented on Friday, May 4 at 6:30 pm at Marshlands Inn. Admission is by donation, and light refreshments will be served. “We’re very excited to be presenting these scenes”, said Cynthia Spurles, Live Bait Board member. “Chester Cole was a speed skating champion who died tragically in 1930. We’re developing a new musical about his life which will be presented during our 30th anniversary season in 2018-2019. This reading will give audience members a sneak peak at what the show will be about.” The reading will last a maximum of 30 minutes so attendees will be able to get out in time for the David Myles concert which follows as a Bordertown event at 8 pm that evening.
