Workshop: Linocut cards at Aberdeen cultural Centre

Join artist Caitlin Wilson to create your own holiday cards in linocut!
When: December 11th 2021 from 10 am to 5 pm (one hour lunch break, lunch not provided).*
Where: Atelier Imago, 140 Botsford street (Aberdeen cultural Centre), first floor, room 17.
How much: 60$ per person
Each participant will carve a lino relief plate and print up to 10 cards (5×6, enveloppes included) of their own design. All materials included. General instructions will be given in English, and questions may be answered in French if needed.
Participants will be asked to bring in an image or drawing to work from. More instructions may be communicated by email beforehand.
Cards will be printed using a press, but Caitlin will also teach you how to print them at home by hand. We will be using non-toxic water-based inks and sharp carving knives. Make sure to wear your art clothes!
Ages 12+, limit of 10 participants.
Participants will be asked to show a proof of vaccination and ID before entering the studio. Masks will be required if/when social distancing is not possible.
*Some time will also be available on Sunday December 12th if some participants are note done printing their cards.
