THIRD SHIFT 2020

Despite the challenges brought on by the last couple of months, Third Space is thrilled to share that preparations for a new THIRD SHIFT experience are well underway. This year’s festival will be an exciting blend of temporary public art and an online gallery of digital art and interactive online activities. With this new format, THIRD SHIFT will span a full week instead of one night, allowing even more time and space for everyone to enjoy the installations, performances, and activities.

THIRD SHIFT is a festival of public contemporary artworks presented by Third Space, a not-for-profit artist-run centre in Saint John, New Brunswick. Established in 2015, THIRD SHIFT aims to offer citizens a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary art and re-imagine their city. THIRD SHIFT holds space for new experiences and communal exchange through the exhibition of temporary installations, interventions, performances and projections in the heart of Uptown Saint John. THIRD SHIFT 2020 will now put an emphasis on the presentation of contemporary artworks online and the installation of longer-term site-specific projects throughout the Greater Saint John area. All activities are free of charge and open to the public.
