The Private World of John Hooper

Details: Although John Hooper is best known for his very public, life-size, colourful wooden people that enliven Uptown Saint John, he also wrote beautiful poetry, and created many smaller sculptures and pieces of art, including drawings and paintings, that few have seen. To mark the 10th anniversary of his death John’s family will bring together works by John that are part of the family’s collection. This show will also offer a glimpse of John’s life, through his stories and photographs. A limited number of show catalogues will be available to purchase, as well as posters and note cards.
