Tertulia: Katie Thorsteinson on Sara Ahmed

What is a tertulia? A tertulia can be described as a literary and artistic social gathering or philosophy cafe where participants talk about ideas. Tertulias combine words, music, poetry, art and whatever else speakers want to share.

Sara Ahmed is a scholar of feminist theory, lesbian feminism, queer theory, critical race theory and post-colonialism, and author of several books, including Living a Feminist Life. Katie Thorsteinson is an Assistant Professor of English at St. Thomas University
