“Take Daily” Art opening at Imago

Take Daily From July 11 till August 11, 2016. Opening Friday July 22 at 7 pm at Imago.

Born in Moncton in 1991, Suzanne Cormier has always been interested in the arts. In September 2016, she will begin her third year in the fine arts program at l’Université de Moncton, concentrating in printmaking and painting. Suzanne is inspired to create by her personal experiences with mental health and interpersonal relationships. The project Take Daily is a series of silkscreen prints and embroidery that show the different antidepressant and anti anxiety pills that the artist has taken during the last eight years. The goal of the project is to destigmatize mental health issues as well as the medication that is used to help people surmount mental health problems.
