Suspense, betrayal and murder take the stage in Moncton
November 17, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Hubcity Theatre returns to the Empress Theatre this November with Frederick Knott’s Dial ‘M’ for Murder – a chilling tale of betrayal and revenge.
Set during the 1950s, retired tennis pro, Tony Wendice (Cody Bolton) is convinced his wife, Margot (Rebecca Rideout) is having an affair. To seek revenge, he plots the “perfect” murder, until it unravels in the most unexpected way.
Margot’s ex-lover Max (Kevin Nimmock) and police inspector Hubbard (Cyril Johnston) work to save Margot – but it may be too late.
Made famous by the film of the same name by Alfred Hitchcock, Dial M for Murder explores themes of betrayal, revenge, murder and deception.
“We’re really excited to bring Dial ‘M’ for Murder to Moncton audiences,” says Artistic Director Paul David Power. “Audiences are going to love this classic suspense tale with a lot of twists and turns right up until the very end. It’s one of those shows that will really keep you on the edge of your seat.”
Dial ‘M’ for Murder plays November 17 to 19, 7:30 p.m. at the Empress Theatre (811 Main Street). Tickets are available at the Capitol box office at 1-800-567-1922 or capitol.n
