Free“Saint John, New Brunswick: The Creative City Arts, Science, and Literature ,1867-1967”
A Free Public Symposium 26 November, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Co-sponsored by The New Brunswick Museum and The Royal Society of Canada (Atlantic) at The Exhibition Centre, NBM, Market Square.
Featuring sessions on Saint John’s Runaway Best-selling Authors, 1867-1967, the novel Broken Barrier (1951) by Grace Helen Mowat of St. Andrews, and The Great Fire in a Literary Context, the symposium closes with “Reimagining the Creative City: Saint John and Hollywood” by Silver Salts author Mark Blagrave.
