Description: This creative workshop, led by artist Jessica Arseneau, opens a hybrid space between video, photography and performance. The workshop will also address the relationship between image, fiction, performance, place and its documentation. Methods such as time-lapse and tableau vivant will be explored in the making and capturing of images. Participants will also be encouraged to think about various other possibilities for exploration and to draw and/or write these ideas down. Afterwards, the workshop will take place outdoors (on the Université de Moncton campus and surrounding areas) for an experimentation session. It is recommended that you have a smart phone, tablet or camera to capture images and videos.
Jessica Arseneau invites participants to identify a place of conceptual or aesthetic interest on the Université de Moncton campus (around the Galerie d’art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen) and to document it through photography or screen capture (e.g. via the Google Maps application). If of interest, an object that can be used as a shooting prop can also be brought to the workshop.
