odd sundays – Apr. 15
April 15, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
We are nearing the end of our successful season of bringing you afternoons of writing and readings, from our eclectic guests, and your own work in the open set. Thank you to all who continue to make odd sundays an important part of Fredericton’s literary community. Without our faithful audience, our guests would be whistling into the wind, Charlotte would languish behind her bar, and your genial hosts would entertain … themselves. So, keep up the good work. Come to Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. on April 15 at 2 P.M.. All the usual instructions apply.
Bren Simmers is the author of two books of poetry, Night Gears(2010) and Hastings-Sunrise (2015), which was a finalist for the City of Vancouver Book Award. A lifelong west coaster, she recently moved to Sackville, NB, where she is working on a new poetry manuscript about Howe Sound, BC.
Catherine Owen lives in downtown New Westminster BC and works in film props. She has published 13 collections of poetry and prose. Her latest book of poems is “Dear Ghost,” (Buckrider Books, 2017). Her upcoming compendium is an anthology of memoirs called “Locations of Grief: an emotional geography” (Wolsak and Wynn, 2020).
