Culottes courtes et sucreries / Shorts and Sweets

Deux villes, deux soirées. Quatre compagnies. Un jam théâtral.

Les skaters peuvent se retrouver au parc le soir pis checker leurs moves. Les musiciens peuvent s’asseoir dans un salon pis jammer jusqu’aux petites heures. Il était grand temps que les artistes de théâtre du Nouveau-Brunswick aient eux aussi l’occasion de faire leur So-You-Think-You-Can-Theatre-Dance-Off-iPod-Battle.

Satellite Théâtre et le Théâtre de la Cigogne de Moncton collaborent avec Solo Chicken Productions et The Next Folding Theatre Company de Fredericton afin de présenter Culottes courtes et sucreries/ Shorts and Sweets, un party de théâtre bilingue où tout peut arriver.

Des artistes de Fredericton et de Moncton présenteront de toutes nouvelles oeuvres lors de jams dans les deux villes. La première soirée aura lieu à Moncton le mardi 24 janvier au Centre Culturel Aberdeen et la deuxième à Fredericton le lundi 6 mars, au Charlotte Street Art Center. Mêmes artistes, mêmes nouvelles créations, deux villes différentes. Les deux soirées commenceront à 19h30.

Ces quatre compagnies sont ravies d’initier la collaboration d’artistes des deux communautés et tout autant ravies de présenter aux spectateurs des performances inédites, des oeuvres en chantier et des premiers jets osés. En français, en anglais ou en silence, venez voir des artistes issus du Nouveau-Brunswick se jeter dans le vide devant vos yeux ébahis.

Entrée $3 à la porte. Alcool en vente sur place. DJ de talent moyen à correct promis.

Two Cities, Two Nights, Four Companies – A Theatrical Jam

Skateboarders can meet at the park and just show off to each other. Musicians can get together and jam until the wee hours. With this in mind, an iPod-Battle-Dance-Off-So-You-Think-You-Can-Theatre jam that was long overdue for New Brunswick theatre artists!

Satellite Theatre and Théâtre la Cigogne from Moncton are collaborating with Fredericton’s Solo Chicken Productions and The Next Folding Theatre Company in order to present Culottes courtes et sucreries / Shorts and Sweets, a bilingual theatre party where anything can happen.

Artists from Fredericton and Moncton will present brand new, never before seen work at jams in both cities. The first evening will be held in Moncton on Tuesday January 24th at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre and the second evening will be held in Fredericton on March , at the Charlotte Street Art Centre. Same artists, same new works, different cities. Both nights kick off at 7:30PM.

These four companies are excited to be bringing artists from the two communities together and equally excited to offer audiences the opportunity to see exclusive new performances, works-in-progress and daring first drafts. In English, in French or in silence, come witness New Brunswick artists performing daring feats before your very eyes.

Entrance $3 at the door. Alcool sold on the premises. Medium-to-ok DJs promised.
