Gallery on Queen is proud to present our Spring exhibition, with five artists selected by guest curator,Roslyn Rosenfeld. This invitation to curate aligns fully with our desire to draw upon the diverse expertise in our province. Her choices embrace a broad range of work featuring five senior NB artists – all with very diverse approaches and concerns, but also with intriguing interconnections. This exhibition continues our important focus on contemporary art with artists who explore the technical and conceptual characteristics of visual art.
Roslyn Rosenfeld holds an MFA in Canadian Art History from Concordia University. Her work in the arts includes the teaching of art history at UNBSJ, an internship at the UNB Art Centre, three years as co-ordinator of Gallery Connexion, and many reviews written for ArtsAtlantic. She has curated or written for 20 exhibitions. She is the author of Lucy Jarvis: Even Stones Have Life, co-published in 2016 by the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and Goose Lane Editions. Rosenfeld is currently Adjunct Curator at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, NB
