HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

The Charlotte Street Arts Centre invites you and the whole family to our Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. What better way to bring in the Holiday cheer than with your local community arts centre with a cup of warm apple cider! Take the chance to explore the rooms and galleries of our 131-year-old building, where many of our tenants will have their doors open to all visitors.
Studios / Galleries:
Take a peek into the studios of artists: Katie FitzRandolph, Christopher Harding, Eric Gonza and Karen Burk – where you will be able to visually intake the creative process of their artwork. This is also the perfect opportunity to view our two exhibitions that are currently in our galleries. In our Charlotte Glencross Gallery is Art in the Centre that displays the work of 8 studio artists. Where the Penny Gallery currently exhibits Open Your Art created by students of Angela Black’s private art classes from Open Your Art on 420 Queen St. Between the two exhibitions you will see the mediums of acrylic, oil paint, watercolour and ceramics’ in Art in the Centre; while the youth from Open You Art dabble in pouring, bookbinding, sculptures and painting.

Christmas Crafts:
The MacLean School for Early Childhood in room 203 will be open for all kids to have some fun creating Christmas crafts to decorate the Charlotte Street Arts Centre tree! Laura Lee will also be available to any parents wanting to take the opportunity to learn more about the MacLean School program.
Food & More:
At the end of the evening, don’t forget to fill your bellies down at Milda’s Pizza & More with some delicious, hearty food. While relishing in some fantastic pizza or delectable croissants, enjoy the current exhibition installed in Milda’s Café by Alyssa Donaldson. The installation displays Alyssa’s eye for photography in her selection of digital negative photos.
