Fredericton Arts Alliance Artists in Residence Series presents Katherine Moller & Emilie Grace Lavoie

The FAA presents weekly local artists residencies located in the Soldier’s Barracks (on the corner of Carleton and Queen) in downtown Fredericton. This week, the artists are: UNB Fiddle Camp founder Katherine Moller will use the stories and history of the river as inspiration for composing Celtic fiddle pieces. Visitors can learn how she goes about composing an original piece. Ceramic/Fibre Artist Emilie Grace Lavoie will work on projects focused on the theme of “the river”, and will create figures of ceramic and fibre, imagining them as water-dwelling creatures who eventually adapt to life on land. Dhanista Ambwani (visual artist) and Tracy Austin (fashion sculpture) will be on display until July 15. The Casemates are open daily from 10am5pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm-5pm on Sundays. All are welcome and there is no charge for admission. Donations are gratefully accepted.
