Exhibition Opening: A Fortunate Adversity by Dawn MacNutt

Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre is pleased to present A Fortunate Adversity, an exhibition of large-scale sculpture by artist Dawn MacNutt. The exhibition will open with a reception on May 5th from 5-7pm and will be on view in the Centre’s Water Front Gallery from May 5th-May 28th.
Dawn MacNutt is a Nova Scotian sculptor who works with natural materials, primarily willow, bronze, grapevine, and copper wire. She creates large-scale figurative forms imbued with emotion and movement. MacNutt is inspired by the ‘beauty of human frailty’ and utilizes the flawed beauty of knotted willow branches from the wild to explore the human form.
