Anna Cameron and Julie Ann Hughes exhibitions at Gallery 78 begin May 19
Anna Cameron’s painting is inspired by the changing landscape – both the long-term geological shifts, and the more immediate seasonal changes. Wildflowers randomly and freely transform the land with colour and texture as they are left to bloom and seed. Cameron also explores colour and texture and a certain randomness of composition in her paintings, achieving a feeling of open space.
Sparrows are the observers who quietly watch the changes taking place from their higher vantage point. Her latest exhibition is called “Wildflower.”
Julie Ann Hughes is a 2015 award-winning graduate of the Jewellery/Metal Arts Program of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Since graduation she has been diligently working as a goldsmith/silversmith on her native Prince Edward Island. Gallery 78 is delighted to host this talented young artist for her first solo exhibition “Below the Surface.”
This is the last week to view “Figures” and “Small Wonders” – on view until May 14th (Mother’s Day)
