Jones Gallery Lecture Series: Alex Colville 🐎

November 30, 2022 @ 7:00 am 8:15 pm

Sarah Jones, Curator of Jones Contemporary and Jones Auction House, presents an evening talk about Canadian artist, Alex Colville (1920-2013). We will consider Colville’s careful and sometimes disquieting approach to composition, his exploration of a sense of suspended time, unnerving tranquility, and the human gaze, and how his work fits in with the broader Canadian art historical context of the twentieth century.
