Fortunate Ones is a JUNO-nominated contemporary folk duo from Newfoundland. With lush harmonies rising out of warm acoustic sounds, their latest album, That Was You and Me (2022), finds Fortunate Ones reflecting on life, loss, and hard times, and ultimately choosing love.
Old Man Luedecke is the recording and performing name of two-time JUNO award-winning songwriter Chris Luedecke. Known for his high energy banjo driven stompers, touching guitar ballads and dry humorous stories, Luedecke has been successfully exporting his brand of high and lowbrow roots for fifteen years.
The Once deliver thoughtful and playful songs soaked with the poetic charm and sunny sadness of the JUNO Award-nominated trio’s collective disposition. Well known for haunting interpretations of traditional music, The Once has bloomed a sound that represents their up-springing inner artistry while their roots dig ever deeper into their idolized island of Newfoundland.

When Bob Dylan turned 69, Saint John musician Brent Mason decided to throw him a birthday party, inviting some of his friends to play a show singing songs from Dylan’s extensive catalogue. Twelve years later, this annual event continues and thrives, having moved from sold out clubs to larger venues. For the first time ever, Brent and company will be joined by local favourites to hold an event at the Fredericton Playhouse celebrating Bob Dylan’s 81st birthday!
Brent and his band are joined by Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade and Grant Heckman as the core of the show, with appearances by a revolving roster of talented artists each year, ensuring new and exciting interpretations of the Bard of Hibbing’s songs each May. This year they will be joined by Fredericton favourites Colin Fowlie, the Montgomery Street Band and the Hypochondriacs Trio for what promises to be a night of music magic!
After eight years in Canada, James Mullinger is finally … Becoming Canadian! And he’s written a show all about it.
A tale of immigration, confusion, love, wonder, joy, this new stand-up show (comprising new material as well as stories from the past decade) coincides with the release of James’ book (published by Goose Lane Editions) about his journey to New Brunswick which will be available for purchase at the show.
Since coming to NB in 2014, he has taken the country by storm. Sold out shows across the country, movies, TV shows, festivals, awards, stand-up specials he’s done it all. James has also raised more than half a million dollars for charities internationally. This show features brand new material for 2022 as well as remixed versions of some of his classic routines (which have notched up more than a million views on Facebook alone!).
