Jim Axelrod Big Little Band, July 8 at the Fredericton Seniors Centre
The Jim Axelrod Big LIttle Band, an uptempo jazz and blues combo, will be playing at the Fredericton Seniors Centre, 112 Johnston Avenue on the Northside, on Friday, July 8, at 7:00 pm. The line-up includes Jim on vocals and trumpet, Steven Peacock on guitar, John Harvey on drums, and Jason Flores on bass.
Come enjoy some hot summer tunes made famous by musicians spanning the decades from Cole Porter to Dutch Mason, from Louis Prima to the Downchild Blues Band. Admission: $15 cash, please.
This is a fundraiser event to support the first Wolastoqey Immersion Land-Based Learning Center. Kehkimin (Teach me) is a non-for-profit organization with a mission to sustain and strengthen the Wolastoqey language revitalization movement through immersive language and land based education. The Wolastoqey language is an endangered language, and it is the original language of this territory. We appreciate your support. Woliwon (Thank You).

– You still need a ticket. Book your seats in advance by calling our box office at 458-8344 or visiting us at 686 Queen Street.
– At the performance, we will provide an envelope and ask audience members to pay whatever amount they wish (based on their own individual experience) following the performance.
Featuring a live musical performance by Jerry Faye & Dylan of MARIAN and food provided by Dee’s Quiet Cafe, it’s sure to be a great time! We’ll also have yard sale tables, a refreshment garden, and more. If you’ve ever been interested in CSAC and wanted to learn more about our organization, this is a great opportunity to get to know us better!

The Fredericton Trails Coalition is taking part and presenting “Art on the Bridge” with dozens of local artists showcasing work along the length of the walking bridge for the afternoon with artists live painting on site at the look-out points!

Charlotte Street Arts Centre is pleased to announce the return of Girls+ Rock Camp! This six day camp is for girls, trans and gender creative youth from ages 11 to 18. This camp aims to give youth the opportunity to learn a new instrument (or new techniques on an old one) and express themselves in creative and artistic ways. AMAZING facilitators will guide and coach the campers through a week that is designed to build confidence, leadership and teamwork skills.
Camp Dates are August 8th-12th (9am to 4pm) and the showcase will be during the evening of August 13th at 7pm at The Playhouse.
Campers must be between the ages of 11 and 18 at the time of the camp. Campers do not need to have any prior music experience! The showcase component is mandatory (campers who are unable to attend the showcase should not register for the camp).
Registration: We will have 20 spots available on a “first-come, first-registered” basis. We strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Camp Fees: Our camp fee is $150.00. This fee includes snacks, use of equipment & rental fees. Cheque, cash, debit or credit payments must be made before camp. If the camp fee is a financial barrier for you call us!! We can work with you to make camp happen because money shouldn’t keep you from accessing rock n’ roll!

Old Man Luedecke is the recording and performing name of two-time JUNO award-winning songwriter Chris Luedecke. Known for his high energy banjo driven stompers, touching guitar ballads and dry humorous stories, Luedecke has been successfully exporting his brand of high and lowbrow roots for fifteen years.
