In this free workshop, participants will begin by interacting with images from the Pride/Swell+ archive, which is made up of over 300+ artworks encompassing 20 art practices and prompts, ranging from collage to zines to jewelry to sculpture to cellphilms.

Saturday April 22, 10am-1pm – Sound Recording (Digital vs Analog) with Dylan Ward & Oscar Tecu
Have you ever wondered what the difference between digital and analog recording is? Explore the world of sound recording with Marian and Chillteens members Dylan Ward & Oscar Tecu! This workshop will be an intro to the basics of working with a DAW (digital work station) & recording to magnetic tape. Participants will leave the session with all the basic skills they need to start their journey in sound production.
No previous experience is required, and we encourage registration from learners of all ages. This workshop is free, no gear is required, and lunch (pizza) will be served post-workshop. Join us from 10am-1pm at The Charlotte Street Arts Centre (Auditorium). There are limited spots available, pre-registration is required to secure your spot.

Dance Fredericton Celebrates 30 Years Quest for the Sun & Special Guests Saturday, June 3 | 1:30 pm
“Quest for the Sun” is a remake of a full length story ballet that includes all of the Dance Fredericton dancers. Our “Special Guests” Act 2 is highlighted by original choreography by both teachers and students. Our Special Guests are Liam Caines and Yayoi Ban from The Royal Winnipeg Ballet performing an original contemporary piece.
Young King Henry, having cast off his youthful indiscretions, and spurred both by his advisors and an insult from the French prince, decides to press his claim to the throne of France by mounting an invasion. Although hopelessly outnumbered by the French, he rallies his troops to a stunning victory, uniting the thrones of England and France.
Shakespeare’s history play depicting the events of 1415-20 remains remarkably relevant to our present day, and contains some of his most stirring speeches, epic battle scenes, and remarkable characters, while Theatre UNB’s production will offer more than a few surprises.
Directed by Len Falkenstein and produced and performed by the students of Drama 2175/3175 with technical assistance from Drama 2174.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is the most prestigious mountain festival in the world. Right after the festival, held every fall in Banff, Alberta, the Banff Mountain Centre Film Festival World Tour starts to travel the globe with stops in about 450 communities and 40 countries.

Women have been shaping the world of photography for decades and actively working to reclaim how they are represented in film and media. NBCCD is thrilled to have such talented creators and minds soon entering the industry. To celebrate their all-female class, NBCCD’s graduating photography/videography students invite you to experience the opening of FEM: Photography Exhibition on April 13, 4:30-6pm, at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in downtown Fredericton, N.B.
