artsnb’s Artist in Residence Programs ?

artsnb’s Artist in Residence Program is intended for individual artists to participate in residencies and New Brunswick public or private institutions and organizations to host professional artists, and enable them to pursue specific projects relating to their creative work.

The artists in residence are also to contribute to the promotion and understanding of the arts by means of the artists’ contact with the clientele of the establishments. (more…)

Atlantic Lottery’s Community Canvas ?

Artists based in Atlantic Canada are invited to submit their designs under the theme of community pride and the unique elements that showcase the Atlantic Canada of today.

Submissions will be reviewed by an internal panel and the winning artist will be awarded $5,000. (more…)

HOLD FAST Festival Call for Featured Artists 2024 ⚓︎

HOLD FAST Festival is a celebration of contemporary performance, interdisciplinary art, and community engagement in St. John’s, NL. Eastern Edge is seeking four Featured Artists to present accessible, meaningful, and critically-relevant work as part of HOLD FAST 2024.

HOLD FAST culminates in a Saturday afternoon Art Crawl, a series of performances, installations, and interactive pop-ups staged outdoors and in non-gallery venues across downtown St. John’s. (more…)

Theodore Prize 2024 ?

The Theodore Prize is a family-funded initiative led by the Throop Family Foundation to celebrate the professional accomplishments of an Atlantic Canadian visual artist.

William and Meredith Saunderson Prizes for Emerging Artists: Call for Nominations ?‍?

The William and Meredith Saunderson Prizes for Emerging Artists (formerly Charles Pachter) consist of three awards of $10,000 each (formerly $5,000 each), to support young emerging visual artists whose practice shows potential and is deemed to have the determination and talent to contribute to the legacy of art in Canada.

In past years, the candidates for this prize were selected by the winner of the previous year’s Hnatyshyn Foundation Mid-Career Award for Curatorial Excellence. (more…)
