RE:FLUX Call for Proposals ⭐️

Galerie Sans Nom is seeking proposals from musicians and artists working in experimental music and sound art for the 20th edition of RE:FLUX which will take place from May 26th to June 1st, 2025.

Organized by Galerie Sans Nom, RE:FLUX festival explores the breakdown of sound boundaries through experimentation and invites us to fill-in the musical gaps in order to find new possibilities and sensory experiences. The festival offers a unique experience that transcends all expectations – we attempt to reinvent music as we know it.

The call for submissions for the RE:FLUX 20 will be peer juried.

Submissions are due by Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Sappyfest XX  🎺

We are now accepting applications for Sappyfest XX, Sappyfest’s 20th anniversary, taking place August 1-3, 2025.

Applications close on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

Sappyfest is an annual independent music and arts festival that takes place in the heart of downtown Sackville, New Brunswick. Known for its exciting lineups of emerging and celebrated artists working in all genres of music and sound, Sappyfest also programs poetry, dance, film, visual and performance art.

Sappyfest encourages musicians and makers to think of auxiliary projects that might bring our small town to life – are there any other forms of creative expression or collaborations that you would like to experiment with? If you can dream it, we’d love to hear about it!

Atlantic Spotlight Showcase

 Music / Musique NB (MNB) and Music Nova Scotia (MNS) are pleased to announce the Atlantic Spotlight Showcase export mission during BreakOut West 2024, taking place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from September 25 – 29, 2024.

This mission focuses on expanding the careers of developing and export-ready artist from the East Coast of Canada with B2B and networking opportunities, a showcase and creative collaborations with Western artist and industry professionals.

Call for Musicians: Fredericton Airport ✈️

The Fredericton Airport is looking for solo or duo musicians to perform at the annual return of our sun destination airline, Sunwing. We’re looking for upbeat music with a tropical/Caribbean flair.

 

 

Performances will run concurrently with departing flights and will be approximately two hours in length. The audience will be all ages and music must be family friendly and appropriate for a diverse audience.

Flourish Festival 2024: Call for Submissions 𝄞

FLOURISH Festival 2024 runs from June 20-23 2024. We’re celebrating our tenth anniversary!

We’re now accepting submissions from bands, visual artists, installation artists, workshop providers and everything in between for our 2024 festival. We accept submissions for all art forms and music genres from across the world.

Fredericton Airport Call for Musicians ✈️

The Holiday Music Series runs throughout the month of December at the Fredericton International Airport. With the help of talented local musicians, YFC brings a lively atmosphere for passengers, employees, and our amazing community.

 

 

We are looking for solo or duo musicians to elevate our airport’s atmosphere with secular music during the month of December. We are open to all genres. Performances will run concurrently with arriving flights and will be approximately two hours in length. The audience will be all ages and music must be family friendly and appropriate for a diverse audience.

 

Artists will receive an honorarium of $100 per performance and are welcome to accept donations from the public. A public address (PA) system will be provided at the event—HK Audio POLAR 10 Column Speaker System.

 

Applications end November 24, 2023.

Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JM Canada) is currently looking for a music workshop leader in Fredericton and Moncton/Dieppe.

JM Canada cultivates a love of music in people of all ages. By encouraging listening, creativity and appreciation of music, JM Canada enables young people to learn about this art form through play.

Reporting to the Young Audience Workshops Coordinator and the Head of Mediation, the leader will be part of a dynamic team with a passion for all forms of classical music. The candidate will receive high-calibre training in music appreciation and music initiation for children of ages 18 months to 12 years.
