Fredericton’s own string quartet, The Elm City String Quartet, is having their first concert since this past winter.  We will be performing in the beautiful Christ Church Cathedral, and we can’t wait to perform for a live audience again.  We will be performing Dvorak’s quartet no. 12 and Shostakovich’s quartet no. 8, two pieces on all of our bucket-lists. The concert will be one hour with no intermission.  Public health guidelines will be followed, so please wear masks during the event and please pre-register so we can plan for social distancing.

The Elm City Quartet is a newly-formed string quartet based in Fredericton, NB. The group includes Victor Vivas (violin), Mercedes Salazar (violin), Mark Kleyn (viola), and Emily Kennedy (cello). Members of the quartet come from Venezuela, Michigan, and New Brunswick. Their musicality and passion for a variety of musical styles creates an engaging experience for the performers and audience.
