RE:FLUX Call for Proposals ⭐️

Galerie Sans Nom is seeking proposals from musicians and artists working in experimental music and sound art for the 20th edition of RE:FLUX which will take place from May 26th to June 1st, 2025.

Organized by Galerie Sans Nom, RE:FLUX festival explores the breakdown of sound boundaries through experimentation and invites us to fill-in the musical gaps in order to find new possibilities and sensory experiences. The festival offers a unique experience that transcends all expectations – we attempt to reinvent music as we know it.

The call for submissions for the RE:FLUX 20 will be peer juried.

Submissions are due by Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Call to Artists: Residencies at Sunbury Shores ?

Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre is offering an Artist in Residence Program for two professional artists to undertake a two-week residency in St. Andrews in 2025.

 

Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre

 

The residencies are available for two weeks each in one of two studios: metalwork or ceramics. Both studios are well equipped with suitable equipment. Artists should plan to bring their own art materials.

For each two-week residency, artists will receive $2,500.00, with 50% payable on the first day of the residency and the remaining on the last day. A contract outlining the conditions of the residency will be signed by both parties prior to the start of the residency (Sunbury Shores and artist). Sunbury Shores was established 60 years ago as an arts and nature centre; this collaboration between the environment and the arts continues to inform the vision for the centre and for the Artist in Residence Program.

The deadline for applications is January 15, 2025.

Lunar Codex Indigenous Mission Collection: Open Call ?

The Lunar Codex, a special project founded by Dr. Samuel Peralta, Canadian physicist and author through Incandence Corp., is an archive of cultural works from across the globe, launched via NASA Artemis / Commercial Lunar Payload Service (CLPS) program partners, from Earth to space, the Moon, and beyond.

Covering seven missions – the Lunar Codex represents creative artists from 185 countries and territories, and 69 Indigenous nations, predominantly in visual art, but also in writing, music, and film.

Sheila Hugh Mackay International Creative Residency ?

The $10,000 Sheila Hugh Mackay International Creative Residency is an initiative aimed at the advancement of the careers of professional New Brunswick visual artists.

 

 

Professional New Brunswick visual artists are eligible for the SHMF International Creative Residency funding once in a lifetime.

SHMF funds one residency per year based on the recommendation of an independent jury of art professionals. Completed submissions for 2025 International Creative Residency (including all supporting material) must be postmarked on or before the deadline of January 15. 2025. Late or incomplete applications or nominations will not be accepted. SHMF can not accept applications by fax or email.

The Sheilas 2025 ✍️

Since 2012, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation has contributed 500,000 in annual facilitation grants to arts organizations and collectives serving the New Brunswick visual arts community.

 

 

These grants, affectionately known as “the Sheilas” build on Sheila Mackay’s early program of small seed grants to emerging artists.

Carte Blanche Acadie: Call for Submissions ?

The 6th edition of Carte Blanche Acadie will take place on February 22nd, 2025, at the Bernard-LeBlanc Hall at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre in Moncton, NB, at 8PM.

The event will be followed the next day by a business meeting to discuss the development of the dance scene. This meeting will be conducted in both official languages, English and French, at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre.
