St. Andrews and the beautiful province of New Brunswick (and beyond) will provide our inspiration. Students will explore and participate in painting a new subject each day. Studio (and Plein Air Painting IF STUDENTS WANT TO EXPLORE ONLY! AND IF WEATHER PERMITS) will be experienced to further enhance the passion of this wonderful medium! Subject matter will include a landscape and a street scene including architectural and landscape components. Exploring creative colour mixing and both new and traditional techniques of paint application will provide a sound knowledge base. Students will also focus on linear and atmospheric perspective for further dramatic impact. Instruction through demonstrations, critiques and a “hands on” approach will allow for students to create luminous and vibrant paintings! This course is suitable for all level of expertise.
